After a very enjoyable and successful 4 day show at Harmony Arts Festival, I am now doing another 4 day show at Granville Island! Cheri and I have been invited to take part in the Granville Island Wooden Boat Festival this year, and will be set up on the promenade behind the market, looking out over the docked wooden boat display. The show starts this Thursday August 22 and runs till Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. The Wooden Boat Festival website has a list of times for shows and events: http://www.vancouverwoodenboat.com/boatshow.html . One of the boats that is on display is the famous S.S. Master which I did a painting of earlier this year. The chance to go on board and check out the steam engine is an opportunity not to be missed by those with an interest in our marine history!
I have also just finished my last Sandhill Crane portrait. ‘Ruffled Feathers’ is 12″x12″ on a thick 2″ gallery wrapped canvas, which allows for the opportunity of the painting to hang unframed on the wall!
We look forward to seeing you this weekend at Granville Island!
